Village Hall

Claxton Village Hall is on The Street in the middle of the South Norfolk village of Claxton. It’s full name is Claxton & Carleton St. Peter Village Hall.
The Hall is a versatile recently refurbished venue with a well-equipped kitchen and optional bar facilities.
There is a large car park, disabled access and free, high-speed broadband.
It is used by a wide range of local organisations and private hirers, being suitable for family and community events.
The Hall can be hired on a one-off or regular basis.
The licensed Social Club is open to all, every Friday evening, with friendly company and attractively priced beers, ales and spirits from a well-stocked bar, which is open from 8 pm until late.
Additionally, on a monthly basis, the Social Club have special events such as food vans and karaoke. These are advertised on our events calendar.

Hire Charges

We believe in keeping our prices competitive. We have recently increased prices for the first time in over 10 years and believe we have the best facilities in the area.

Bar Hire

Claxton Social Club can provide a well-stocked bar for any occasion for a fee of £80.00
Bar prices are very reasonable and we do our best to meet any special requests hirers may have.
Please inform the lettings secretary at the time of booking.

Claxton Coronation Celebrations

Claxton’s Coronation Afternoon Tea Party

The Claxton Community Cafe team would like to say a big ‘Thank You’ to everyone who helped make the Coronation Tea Party such a success. The sandwich makers, the bakers, the washers up, the children’s craft helpers the hall decorators, the furniture movers and the organisations that helped sponsor us. The event was enjoyed by all,  from 1 year olds to 89! A toast was raised to the new King and donations of over £170 were made towards the Princes Trust.
